NO TIMING THIS YEAR: ParThis will be the first year that this race WILL NOT BE TIMED. As the event has grown in recent years, we have decided focus less on timing logistics so that we can focus more on adding to the festive environment. Although finisher times will not be calculated, there will be a clock at the finish line for participants to check their own time, and top places will be awarded. There will still be a school trophy this year.

Registration Information:
This event is FREE to all students, staff, and families of the Worthington City Schools! Participants must register on or before October 5, the day before the race. There will be no race day registration.

BRING OUT THE WARRIOR INSIDE!!!

What: This Worthington Elementary Wellness event is like no other - Are you up for the challenge??? While climbing over barriers, ducking through tunnels, and crawling through mud - you are bound to have a blast!

  • Our participants in grades PK and above, as well as their adult family members, can run the professionally timed "Mile of Mayhem" that will push them to the limits with its obstacles and challenges.

  • Our Lil' Warrior race is designed for participants in grades Pre-K to 3. This course is shorter, but still includes the mud pit and several of the obstacles. To keep the Lil' Warrior course safe for our younger runners, we ask that our older participants remain off of the course during the Lil' Warrior event unless they are providing support to their Lil' Warrior. Registration is required for Lil' Warriors, but no registration is required for adults who plan to accompany their Lil' Warrior to provide support. Participation is emphasized at the Lil' Warrior level and there are no prizes awarded for top finishers.

Location: The Worthington Wellness Warrior Run starts and ends on the track at McCord Middle School. The race will take runners around the McCord and Granby Elementary School Properties. The address for McCord Middle School is 1500 Hard Rd., Columbus, OH 43235.

Race Fee:  This is a FREE event for Worthington students, their families, and Worthington Schools staff! Donation bins and fundraising opportunities will be available for those who would like to help support the event.

Race Number Pick-up:  Please plan to pick up race numbers (bibs) at Fleet Feet Sports running store located at 1270 East Powell Road on  Friday, October 4th, or Saturday, October 5th, during regular store hours. This will help to keep lines shorter on race day. If you are not able to pick up your race number before race day, you may still do so at the event. However, plan to arrive early and wait in long lines if you plan to do this. NOTE: YOU MUST REGISTER ONLINE ON OR BEFORE SATURDAY, October 5th.

For information on Fleet Feet store hours, go to http://www.fleetfeetcolumbus.com .

Parking:  Parking will be limited at this event. Please consider carpooling and arrive early. Parking is available at Granby Elementary, McCord Middle School, and Kilbourne High School.

Clothes: Proper footwear is a must! Remember, what you wear is going to get muddy (this is NOT your typical race - if you don't like getting wet or muddy, don't come!).  We'd recommend a change of clothes and/or a towel or garbage bag to sit on for the ride home.

Awards:  Finisher ribbons will be awarded to all participants who "survive" the mile of mayhem.  Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each competitive race! (Please note, the Lil' Warrior event is not a competitive race.)

T-Shirts For Sale: Participants who register on or before September 18 can pre-order their race shirt at the discounted rate of $10. Register early to guarantee your shirt size and pay for it online! A limited number of shirts will be available for sale on race day for $15 while supplies last.

Warrior Costumes:
Come with a "warrior attitude" and dress the part!  Warrior costumes are encouraged!

Come Ready to Party!: Plan to stick around for the whole event! The team trophy will be awarded to the elementary school with the most points for top finishers after the final race!
